Dear Bettendorf Financial Group Family,
As this letter is being penned, it’s hard to believe it’s 65°, sunny and the middle of November! Reflecting on this past year, we realize not only has time flown by, but it has been quite a ride.
We started the year off losing our beloved Matt Rueter. This unexpected loss has reinforced what we constantly tell our clients, don’t put off until tomorrow what should be done today. Save for tomorrow but live for today. Mend broken fences and hug your loved ones when you can.
With the promotion of Shannon Domski to full-time financial advisor and our growing business, we’ve had the pleasure of needing to increase our admin team. We welcomed Amber Taflinger who has been in the financial services industry for over seven years. Denise Smith-Zertuche returned after taking leave to be home when her children needed pandemic home schooling. And, most recently, Shelly McKinzey made a career change and joins us after years in the medical field.
As we opened our new office expansion, we welcomed our first summer intern, Nathan Musal. Nathan brought youthful passion to the office like no other we’ve seen in awhile. From a very young age Nathan decided working in the financial industry is where he wants to be when he graduates college. We were glad to have him in the office and hope to have him back over the summers between his college years. If you had the opportunity to meet him, you know the joy he is.
The summer also brought great milestones for Bettendorf Financial. Doug Wier celebrated 40 years of being in the financial services industry. That is quite a feat in a day and age when people change jobs every 2-3 years. We also celebrated 25 years of BFG. The entire team is thankful Doug has stuck it out all these years and brought us along for the ride. We can’t wait to see what the next 25 years brings!
As we continue to rebound from a challenging 2022, we are thankful for all of you who trust us to continue helping you achieve your goals.
From our family to yours, we wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season!
